With the future of work hot on the agenda, especially with talk of a delay to lockdown easing, this simplyIC session with Kimberly couldn't be more timely.
Kimberly joined us on Day Two to share with us Mars' story on rolling out Microsoft Teams to its 130,000 employees in 2020 to facilitate remote working. This move was 'pivotal' to the success of WFH for the global confectionary brand.
Kimberly told us of the project:
"Teams helped with minimising meetings; starting conversations via channels or chat instead. Shortening a meeting is key for wellbeing, for example a 15-minute standup."
In the wake of various employees from well-known companies speaking out against negative experiences, Kimberly explained that reaching employees was key for Mars, to ensure a positive employee experience: "A quick bite of information is easier to digest."
